| I don't have any experience. However, people on TT.net have been able to pass emissions with just the main CATs installed and other emission equipment deleted. This is without the EGR, Pre CATs and other emission equipment. I am assuming if the car is in a healthy condition, and maintenance done it would pass with just the main CATs. In California, the owner would just need to find a shop that "neglects" their visual inspection. Last time I had my TT smogged, the shop had the car on the hoist and made sure I had all my "4 CATs" and check with mechanics mirror to make sure my EGR is installed and connected....won't be going to that shop again for sure.
